Travel accessibility is best understood through lived experience. Every DeafBlind traveler navigates the world differently, and each journey can reveal both barriers and possibilities that may not be obvious to others.
By sharing these experiences, DBVTA hopes to help travelers, businesses, travel providers, policymakers, and the public better understand what meaningful accessibility looks like in the real world.

The Timeline is not intended to present one single DeafBlind travel experience as representative of everyone. Instead, it will highlight different perspectives and experiences from DeafBlind travelers.
Some journeys may demonstrate exceptional accessibility. Others may identify barriers that still need to be addressed. Both are important because meaningful change begins with understanding what actually happens during travel.
